Module 4: How bacteria are transmitted

This module explains the ways bacteria can spread from one person to another. The module covers different modes of transmission, including direct contact, droplets, and airborne particles. It also highlights preventive measures to reduce the risk of transmissions, such as hand hygiene, proper use of personal protective equipment, and environmental cleaning.

Module 5: The Chain of Infection

This module explains the chain of infection and how it works in transmitting diseases. The module covers the different stages of the chain of infection, including the infectious agent, reservoir, portal of exit, mode of transmission, a portal of entry, and susceptible host. It also discusses how to break the chain of infection through various measures, such as hand hygiene, isolation, and vaccination. This module will introduce you to the epidemiology of healthcare-associated infection and prevention strategies for different types of disease. 

Module 7: Cleaning & Decontamination

The module covers various cleaning methods, including manual and automated processes, and choosing appropriate cleaning agents.
